I love these reflection questions! I have been struggling with what I want to be or not be in this Substack world and the outside world. And I'm mostly finding that I want to write less and support others who are striving for more instead. Still figuring it out, but this is helpful!
Glad you found these reflection questions helpful! For me, experimentation and figuring it out is the point (and aren't we all no matter where we are in our journey?)
Really enjoyed this. Thanks for all you shared! I left corporate 2.5 years ago on my own volition, and have noticed many of the same shifts you describe...noticing more small stuff, reading way more and widely and deeply, more moments of feeling enough even when some ladder-climbers wonder what I'm up to ;-).
Also, that endlessly perfecting something that's already good...I call this "pixel pushing" and I used to do a lot of it.
Sarah, I am so glad it worked out for you to ask Alex these questions. He instantly came to mind when you sought recommendations, because he is a deep thinker, always has something thoughtful to say, and I knew he would add some incredibly powerful insight to this concept of "enough."
Thank you for your recommendation, Jeannie, it certainly means a lot to me 🩵 I had a lot of fun with this project! And Sarah was an absolute delight to work with!
Great journaling prompts!! Thanks for sharing :)
If you do end up using them for yourself I'd love to hear your perspective ;)
I second Sarah! If you do end up using them, I'd love to hear your perspective!

Bwahaha, I love pixel pushing. That is fun. I'm so glad I've moved on. Because that was an exhausting time in my life.

She really is, Alex! And so are you.
Aww that makes me so happy to hear!
